Founder and director of Musical Island Talent School — pianist, singer-songwriter, music educator, playwright and theatre director, teaching in Sydney since 2012.
"A true artist works every single day, every hour of his existence, all his life, because he cannot live without creativeness."
— Konstantin Stanislavsky
I have been working in performing arts for quite a while, wearing many hats such as a pianist, singer/song writer, music educator, playwright and director, employing my creative vision in various art forms both in Europe and Australia. My training took me from Moscow to Sydney, completing a Master's degree in Music and Linguistics along the way.
I see things differently. For me, creativity is not a thing, it is a way of doing things.
My creative path has always been accompanied by teaching. For me, teaching is a platform — to create, learn and improvise. Teaching became an inspiration to transpose my visual imaginings onto paper, that later evolved into music compositions and stage plays.

Musical Island — a novel by Natalie Mitz
Musical Island began life as a music play, first staged in 2018–19 to strong audience response across every age group, later performed at Sydney Fringe Festival and the Bondi Theatre Festival. The story follows a search for the "magic melody" each of us carries in our heart, one that nurtures hope within.
Between 2021 and 2023, Natalie adapted the production into a 24-chapter fantasy novel for young readers, published under the same name and available through Amazon and major online bookstores. The same story world feeds directly back into her Musical Theatre classes and Musical Island Productions shows today.
